PRMM Diary: Day 4 (2 of 4)
Our speed-capture of Tunnel brings the attention of advancing Brits at North Bridge, who swing back west to see if they cant take it back. This coincides with my planned route, and I spot em coming. Unfortunately I still need to learn how to lead a target when it is perfectly perpendicular as I miss every shot until hes stationary. Stabby and an enemy seem to take each other out at the same time, whilst I recieve fire and am taken out too. Stupidly, I didnt look at the angle the shots were coming from, and give him a better shot at me as I retreat. The squad gets taken out at Tunnel, but that allows them to respawn on me and take out a forward attacking force. As we push forward to Tunnel a second time, the newly formed Charlie squad performs the best breach ever, skillfully luring the Brits up to the door and destroying them along with it. Unco_tomato goes for a walkabout, taking up an overlooking position on Tunnel resulting in the deaths of at least seven British soldiers. During this lankycheese expertly infiltrates the Tunnel room, narrowly avoiding entrenched LMG fire in the process. He goes on to clear the room of Brits solo and begin the recapture process. Stabby and I move along the northern border, and I spend too much time with my map open. This results in death as we suddenly run head on into an entire squad of Brits and their rally point. What killed me here was having my weapon on semi-auto; usually when I advance I keep it on full-auto for close encounters, then switch to semi as I scope to take a shot at a distant enemy. My reaction time prevented me from clicking as fast as full-auto could fire.

Crossing Arizona
With Americans on all sides of the issue up in arms and Congress embroiled in a knock-down-drag-out policy battle over how to move forward, CROSSING ARIZONA shows how we got to where we are today . . . Heightened security in California and Texas has pushed illegal border-crossers into the treacherous Arizona desert in unprecedented numbers -- an estimated 4,500 a day. Most are men in search of work, but increasingly the border-crossers are women and children seeking to reunite with their families. This influx of migrants crossing through Arizona and the attendant rising death toll have elicited complicated feelings about human rights, culture, class, labor and national security. "Crossing Arizona" examines the crisis through the eyes of those directly affected by it. Frustrated ranchers go out day after day to repair cut fences and pick up the trash that endangers their livestock and livelihoods. Humanitarian groups place water stations in the desert in an attempt to save lives. Political activists rally against anti-migrant ballot initiatives and try to counter rampant fear mongering. Farmers who depend on the illegal work force face each day with the fear that they may lose their workers to a border patrol sweep. And now there are the Minutemen, an armed citizen patrol group taking border security into their own hands. As up-to-date as the nightly news, but far more in-depth, "Crossing Arizona" reveals the surprising political stances people take when immigration and border policy fails everyone.

British Marines capture WAS a Failed False Flag op
Major General Patrick Cordingly, who commanded the Desert Rats during the 1991 Gulf War, said "it is unfortunate that the Ministry of Defence are using the sailors and Marines in this way. He told the BBC: "They are using them almost as a propaganda tool and it seems to be encouraging us to feel irritated with Iran rather than dialogue going on." It now seems that with the emerging information that this was a Failed False Flag op, the pre-capture Interviews to the Newspapers and News stations AND the fact that their Air cover was withdrawn, it seems the only thing wrong the Marines did was NOT to fight back, I dont blame them, if they had it would have meant certain death, they surrendered and were treated it seems in a not altogether unpleasant way, HOWEVER that does NOT ring true with what the UK and USA want us to believe about Iran, and so now we have a situation where the Marines are ordered to sell salcious accounts of their treatment that better fits the model that we the public Should believe. Remember the UK and USA wants this War with Iran, but the public are not behind it at all, so they need an incident to rally us all behind them. I believe this was one such attempt at that kind of incident. Dont blame these Marines, they are just Pawns in this ugly game, we should blame the leaders we know who have already lied to us time and time again.

The Romanian Revolution of 1989
RATION OF LIBERTY ! On the morning of December 21, Ceauşescu addressed a mass assembly of a hundred thousand people to condemn the uprising of Timişoara. Speaking from the balcony of the Central Committee building in the usual "wooden laguage", Ceauşescu delivered a litany of the achievements of the "socialist revolution" and Romanian "multi-laterally developed socialist society". The people, however, remained apathetic, and only the front rows supported Ceauşescu with cheers and applause. His lack of understanding of the events and his incapacity to handle the situation were further demonstrated as he offered, as an act of desperation, to raise the salaries for workers by the ridiculous amount of 100 Lei (about 4 $ USA at the time) per month and kept praising the achievements of the Socialist Revolution, still unable to realize that a revolution was unfolding right in front of his eyes. As he was addressing the crowd from the balcony of the Central Committee building, sudden movement coming from the outskirts of the mass assembly and the sound of what various sources have reported as fireworks, bombs, or guns broke the orderly manifestation into chaos. Scared at first, the crowds tried to disperse. Bullhorns were used to spread the news that the Securitate was firing on them and that a "revolution" was unfolding, and finally the people were persuaded to join in. The rally turned into a protest demonstration and in the end a revolution emerged. Ceauşescu, his wife, as well as other officials and CPEx members panicked, and finally Ceauşescu went into hiding inside the building. The live transmission of the meeting was interrupted, but the people who were watching had seen enough to realise that something unusual was going on. The reaction of Ceauşescu couple is memorable, as they were staging futile attempts to regain control over the convulsing crowd using phone conversation formulas such as "Alo, Alo" ("Hello, Hello") or Ceauşescus wife "advising" him how to contain the situation: "Vorbeşte-le, vorbeşte-le" ("Talk to them, talk to them") and to the crowd "Stati liniştiti la locurile voastre" ("Sit quiet in your places"); finally Ceauşescu allowed himself to be directed inside the Central Committee building by his underlings. The jeers and whistles erupted into riot; the people fled the immediate location, but took to the streets, placing the capital, like Timişoara, in turmoil. People were chanting anti-communist and anti-Ceauşescu slogans: "Jos dictatorul!" ("Down with the dictator"), "Moarte criminalului!" ("Death to the criminal"), "Noi suntem poporul, jos cu dictatorul!" ("We are the People, down with the dictator").......................................................................................... Helicopters were spreading manifestos, which as a matter of fact didnt reach the crowd, due to unfavourable wind — instructing people not to fall victim to the latest "diversion attempts", but to go home instead and enjoy the Christmas feast. The rioters forced open the doors of the Central Committee building in an attempt to get Ceauşescu in their grip, but the dictator managed to reach the helicopter waiting for him on the roof of the building; why he chose to flee by helicopter, instead of using the intricate tunnel system beneath the Central Committee building, also remains a mystery............................................................................................................................................................................................... Trippy Music
As the 4/20 pot rally at the Art Gallery was winding down I went to the back the the Art Gallery to smoke a few solar bowls where there was still some sun. Thats where I found this guy. Making some very amazing esoteric mind expanding music. The audio doesnt do this guy justice. I had to use a digi cam. Because my video camera had already died.

anti-war protest
I heard about an anti-war rally in the Nichols Hills community of Oklahoma City commemorating the fourth anniversary of the war in Iraq. I really consider myself to be more of a moderate when it comes to politics, but I was glad to be apart of this anti-war protest put on by moveon.org. When it was my turn to read a name of an Oklahoman who had died in Iraq, I cant explain how I felt when I read aloud that the guy was a year younger than I am.

Revolutionary Crowds
The film, "Revolutionary Crowds," visualizes the emergent phenomena that arise from the interactions between a very large number of individuals. The transition from a group of people to a crowd in action with a well- defined collective goal has been likened to a phase transition between states of matter - from gas to liquid. Different threads of the film juxtapose black and white material that is older and mostly European (including some Soviet), with a variety of more modern images of the fall of the Berlin Wall, the Tiananmen Incident, Khomennis death, and the violent dispersion of a student anti-war rally at UCLA in 1969. The majority of archival footage in this films is very emotional; for instance, disturbing images of students being arrested or beaten up by the police are contrasted with the colorful, more intimate crowds, full of joy, at the fall of the Berlin Wall. In the film, the expression of the crowd as a like minded entity is contrasted with images of individuals, e.g. the expressive faces of orators and leaders and victims. The film is an experiment dealing with the relative importance of subsets of visual information in the perception of crowds. It encapsulates six political revolutions in five and a half minutes.

International Protest Day Against Guantanamo
The National Guantanamo Campaign held its first international action on 15 July 2006 when it took part in the "Shut Guantanamo Now!" International Day of Protest by organising a demonstration and rally in central London. On a sweltering Saturday in central London, approximately 300 people from the capital and various parts of the UK and further afield gathered at midday at Marble Arch in London. Shortly after midday the demonstrators, joined by the mother and sister of Omar Deghayes, a Brighton resident, and the wife and children of Jamil El-Banna, a London resident, took a short walk down to the American Embassy in nearby Grosvenor Square. After a short introduction by Asim Qureishi from Cageprisoners, drawing an analogy between the storming of the Bastille (as Bastille Day was the day before) in 1789 and the struggle against oppressive regimes and arbitrary and unjust detention in our times, a series of speakers spoke about various aspects of this continuing injustice and the struggle to have the prisoners released. Victoria Brittain, co-author of Enemy Combattant with Moazzam Begg, spoke first and then read out a statement by Sabah El-Banna, the wife of Jamil El-Banna. She was followed by Taji Mustafa from Hizb-ut-Tahrir, Dr. Azzam Tamimi, Ghada Razuki from the Stop The War Coalition, Yvonne Ridley, a presenter on the Islam Channel, Hannah Caller from Fight Racism! Fight Imperialism!, George Galloway MP and Hugo Charlton from CAMPACC. Zohra Deghayes and Amani Deghayes, relatives of Omar Deghayes, a Libyan national, and Anas and Mohammed El-Banna, sons of Jamil El-Banna, a Jordanian national, were the family members of the British residents detained at Guantanamo Bay who addressed the crowd of demonstrators. Chris Chang from FulleBlunt, the hip hop band with a message, also performed the human rights rap version of Guantanamera. The demonstrators then marched back to Marble Arch led by the family members and a chain gang in orange boiler suits whose heads were covered with black sacks. After a short pause there, the demonstrators soldiered on to the Home Office in Victoria where Zohra and Amani Deghayes and Sabah El-Banna handed in another petition addressed to the UK government, concerning the British residents. The demonstration ended at around 4pm and was a peaceful and enjoyable event. The Metropolitan Police also showed their concern about the deteriorating situation in Guantanamo Bay with a strong presence during both the march and rally. Thank you to all the individuals and organisations who attended. More information and pictures of the demonstration in London can be found at: http://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/2006/07/345171.html http://www.justoneperson.me.uk/blog/_archives/2006/7/15/2124671.html http://www.hizb.org.uk/pressnew/index.php?id=3260 http://moonbatmedia.com/shut_gitmo_150706/ Demonstrations were also held in: Sanaa, Yemen: approximately 1000 demonstrators, including some family members of Guantanamo prisoners, marched to the Yemeni Parliament and the UNDP offices in the Yemeni capital to register their anger at the death of one of their compatriots and the continuing detention of many others. The demonstration was organised by HOOD (a leading human rights NGO in Yemen) and letters were handed in by several organisations and family members to the UNDP to be sent to the Secretary-General of the United Nations. Manama, Bahrain: In a protest opposite the UN headquarters in Manama, protesters and the families of Bahraini and Saudi prisoners called for the prison camp to be shut down as a hundred orange balloons were released into the air. Sydney, Australia: Roughly 250 people took part in a cold and damp protest outside Sydney Town Hall calling for Guantanamo to close and David Hicks to be sent home. The action was supported by many human rights and anti-war organisations. Former Guantanamo prisoner Mamdouh Habib also addressed the crowd.

PRMM Diary: Day 4 (3 of 4)
My SOFLAM allows me to direct our squad to exact revenge upon the Brits who last killed me. With their squad decimated, we run forward to the site of my last death to destroy their rally point. A couple manage to spawn as we get there, but we mop them up cleanly and remove their rally point. A little confusion follows as we take fire from an unknown direction, which turns out to be an enemy rifleman camping at unco_tomatos previous position, upon the tunnel entrance. He is expertly dispatched, and half the squad moves to the east of Tunnel to prepare for a pincer maneuvre. We push in and clear the Tunnel, but not before enemy reinforcements arrive. Jeriff nobly sacrifices himself to breach the door. I decide to fall back after taking heavy fire, and position myself above tunnel only to find an entire squad waiting for me. I manage to take half of them before I cop a headshot as the rest of the squad continues the valiant assault of Tunnel.

Greensboros Child Trailer
November 3, 1979. Greensboro, North Carolina. Willena Cannon, a lifelong civil rights activist and member of the Workers Viewpoint Organization, helped arrange a "Death to The Klan" rally and conference. As she and her 10-year old son, Kwame, began to participate in the rally, the worst possible scenario became a reality. With police suspiciously absent, a caravan of cars filled with Klan and Nazi members rolled through the rally and opened fire on the defenseless protesters. Live footage from local news cameras caught the massacre in its brutal form. In this award-winning documentary, Andy Coon explores the buried evidence from both state and federal court prosecutions by examining the trials under a new lens; he vividly exposes civil trial records, through documentation and interviews, which proved the existence of local police, FBI and ATF informants surrounding the rally. Going one-step beyond the vision of A&E and The History Channels coverage of the event, Coon fast-forwards seven years later, to the plight of an immature, yet harmless, 17-year-old Kwame Cannon. Arrested for six counts of non-violent burglary, Cannon naively accepts a pre-trial plea bargain consisting of two consecutive life sentences. ?Proper legal representation was provided ?The judge tried to give him fair warning ?His mother was advised to not attend the hearing due to her roots in community activism This is Greensboros Child
